Presentation Tools - lesson plan

your objectives

  1. discuss the pedagogy and practicality of 'presenting' information using online tools to foster interactivity
  2. participate in one or more collaborative presentation activities
  3. review the presentation tools and information provided
  4. use 1 or more to create an online presentation with some degree of interactivity 
Session Task: make a presentation that you can use with your students that includes some level of interactivity (then link to it from your blog with a few evaluative comments). Interaction could be questions/ tasks/ different media/ something to look for/ opportunity to comment

3. option: a. confident users review 'smore' and go and play with a tool not used before (emaze, animoto, blendspace, powtoon or prezi) or 

b. review 'smore'  together - at tables- discuss pros and cons then make one...after watch blendspace demo and try either/ or to create interactive presentation

or...just see how it goes, fiddle, listen in, discuss, play, share

Wordle has been mentioned twice and it has generated some interest- if you haven't tried it yet you could: How to make and use  a 'Wordle' word cloud - watch then go to wordle.net and make a few (use 'snipping tool' to capture image and paste into word or PowerPoint or to create an image)

or try 'tagxedo' which alllows you to make shapes from your word clouds like the one in the handbook.

In my view the most useful thing here is the screen blank (press 'b') during presentation- I use that a lot in PowerPoint
